Carpet mold and mildew

Carpets look great, are soft under foot and can add a finishing designer touch to most any room. At the same time, carpets (particularly carpets near entry areas) can get wet, trap moisture and serve as terrific breeding ground for all sorts of mold and mildew. Carpet mold and carpet mildew can cause a serious health hazard in your home and create a steady flow of airborne allergens and respiratory toxins. Conventional carpet cleaners can treat dirt and fill the air with flowery perfumes, but they do little to address mold or mildew in the carpet or carpet backing because they do not contain mold or mildew disinfectants. Any time a carpet gets wet, following a flood or a rainstorm – even after routine shampooing or steam cleaning – carpets must be completely dry after 48 hours to avoid the onslaught of mold infestation.

Moldex Disinfectant or Moldex Deep Stain Remover can effectively fix this Mold & Mildew problem. Moldex Disinfectant is approved for use on carpets by the EPA because it is so effective. Moldex Disinfectant will clean, disinfect, and deodorize by killing the odor causing microorganism. Moldex Deep Stain Remover is a specially formulated tough stain remover that does not contain bleach making it color safe for fabrics and carpets.
